Pakistani actor Imran Abbas has revealed that he faced several challenges related to Urdu pronunciation while working in India, highlighting the linguistic differences between the two countries.
Speaking in a recent conversation, Imran Abbas explained that variations in Urdu accents and pronunciation often created confusion on set. He pointed out that Indian actors tend to pronounce certain Urdu sounds differently, especially the letter “kh,” and sometimes replace words like “ke” with “ki” due to the influence of Hindi.
Recalling his experience while working on the film Jaanisaar alongside Bipasha Basu, he said he was asked to modify his pronunciation to match local usage. However, he chose to stick to his original way of speaking, which led to some disagreements during filming.
