Dhruv Rathi Criticizes Priyanka Chopra for Not Taking a Stand on Palestine

Famous Indian YouTuber and social media influencer Dhruv Rathi recently criticized Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra for not taking a stance on Palestine at the 2026 Oscars. In a video posted on Instagram, Dhruv Rathi questioned Priyanka’s silence during a moment when the issue of Palestine was being discussed.

Rathi pointed out that Priyanka remained neutral during the event, not speaking in favor or against the political situation. He argued that neutrality is a position of privilege, only available to those who are not directly affected by the conflict. Rathi compared the situation to countries like New Zealand or Iceland, which can afford to stay neutral in distant conflicts because they are geographically distant and unaffected.

He further criticized Bollywood stars for being too afraid or selfish to take a simple moral stance, fearing that taking a position could harm their relationships with powerful people, sponsors, and movie earnings. Rathi questioned why Priyanka Chopra, who is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, could not take a clear stand on such an important issue.

During the same Oscars event, Spanish actor Javier Bardem voiced his opposition to war and raised slogans like ‘No to War’ and ‘Free Palestine.’ Priyanka Chopra, who was on stage with him, smiled and stayed silent, which led to criticism from fans and social media users.
