Amidst an extremely cold and dry spell, much-needed rainfall is finally approaching various parts of the country.

According to the forecast by the Meteorological Department, rain and snowfall are expected from January 25 to January 28, bringing relief to the affected regions.
The areas that are expected to experience rain and snowfall include Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This forecast is a ray of hope for these regions, as they have been gripped by freezing temperatures and dry weather for a considerable period.

However, it’s important to note that dense fog and smog are expected to persist in the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh during the last week of January. This may pose challenges to visibility and transportation in these areas.
According to PakWeather, a private weather forecasting company, several areas are likely to witness rainfall in the upcoming days. In Balochistan, locations such as Nokundi, Dalbandin, Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Harnai, Qila Saifullah, Qila Abdullah, Chaman, Pishin, Sibi, Loralai, Kalat, Khuzdar, Lasbela, Panjgur, Awaran, and Kech are expected to receive rainfall.
In Punjab, the following areas are anticipated to experience rainfall: Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Sahiwal, Okara, Pakpattan, Khanewal, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Murree, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Khushab, Mianwali, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Nankana Sahib.

This upcoming rainfall brings hope for relief from the dry spell and the much-needed hydration for agriculture, flora, and fauna in these regions. Citizens are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and take necessary precautions accordingly to ensure their safety and well-being.
Overall, this expected rainfall is a positive development after the prolonged cold and dry conditions, and it is anticipated to have a positive impact on the affected areas.
