Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer comedy Welcome to the Jungle has made a strong start at the box office, collecting Rs. 93.15 crore in India during its first week. The film also performed well internationally, with its worldwide gross reaching Rs. 137.36 crore in the first seven days.
The film earned Rs. 63.75 crore over its opening weekend and maintained steady momentum throughout the week. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the movie features a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Arshad Warsi, Aftab Shivdasani, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Jackie Shroff.
Trade analysts believe the film’s real test will begin in the coming weeks as it faces competition from new releases, including Alpha and Dhamaal 4.

Meanwhile, director Imtiaz Ali’s romantic drama Main Wapas Aaunga has emerged as one of the biggest box office comeback stories of the year. Despite a modest opening, the film gained momentum through overwhelmingly positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth recommendations.
The film has already earned over Rs. 50 crore in India and nearly Rs. 80 crore worldwide after 21 days. Analysts now expect it to cross Rs. 70 crore domestically and approach Rs. 120 crore globally.
Starring Naseeruddin Shah, Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari, and Vedang Raina, the film has been praised for its performances and emotional storytelling, with industry experts calling it one of the most remarkable box office recoveries in recent years.
In contrast, Cocktail 2 has witnessed a slowdown after a promising start. The film earned Rs. 70.50 crore during its first week but collected only Rs. 18.90 crore in its second week, taking its 14-day domestic total to Rs. 89.40 crore. Its worldwide earnings currently stand at approximately Rs. 135.92 crore.
