Raj Kundra Breaks Silence, Makes Emotional Appeal in Ongoing Obscenity Case

Indian businessman and actor Raj Kundra, husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, has broken his silence on the long-running obscenity-related case against him and made an emotional appeal for justice.

In his recent statement, Raj Kundra said that if he is truly guilty, the court should punish him according to the law. However, if the allegations against him are not proven, he should be acquitted with dignity and his reputation restored. He emphasized that he has complete faith in the judicial system.

The case, which has been ongoing for nearly four years in a lower court, is now at a critical stage. According to Kundra, his legal team has already completed their arguments, but repeated delays have significantly affected his personal and professional life.

He also strongly criticized what he described as a “media trial,” stating that it has caused severe damage to his public image. He added that delays in justice effectively amount to denial of justice, highlighting his frustration over the prolonged legal process.

Raj Kundra was arrested in July 2021 by the Mumbai Crime Branch in connection with allegations of producing and distributing obscene content. Authorities had accused him of playing a key role in an alleged digital network involved in such activities.

He remained in custody for around two months before being released on bail. Since then, the case has remained one of the most controversial legal matters involving the Indian entertainment and business sectors.

The renewed attention on his statement has once again brought the case into the spotlight, with public and media focus now shifting toward the upcoming court decision, which could prove crucial for his future and reputation.
