Pakistani actress Alyzeh Shah has revealed that after she temporarily stepped away from Instagram, news channels began calling her parents to ask if she had died a deeply painful and shocking experience.

Alyzeh recently decided to take a break from Instagram, sharing a story calling social media “worse than hell.” Her Instagram bio, which read “Not Dead,” also sparked attention.

In a heartfelt Instagram story, Alyzeh expressed her sadness and frustration over media and social media behavior, pleading to be allowed to “breathe and live.” She wrote that constant trolling, harsh criticism, and negative comments have not only caused her severe mental distress but have now begun affecting her physically.

Alyzeh stated that she has no choice but to completely distance herself from social media and the media for her own well-being. She explained that despite clearly writing “I am alive” in her bio after deleting all her posts, false rumors about her death spread even prompting news channels to call her parents and ask, “Is Alyzeh Shah dead?”

“No one can imagine the pain of having your family questioned about your death,” she wrote. “What must my mother be going through?”

She appealed to the Digital media and social media users to stop the campaign against her. She admitted she doesn’t know when or if she’ll return to social media or dramas, as the situation has become unbearable.
