Pakistani actress Faryal Gohar has shared a deeply emotional story from her past, revealing that she was once engaged
Pakistani actress Faryal Gohar has shared a deeply emotional story from her past, revealing that she was once engaged to a Palestinian man who worked as a pilot for Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. During a recent programme, she recalled how the man she considered the love of her life tragically lost his life in an aviation incident just two weeks before their planned wedding. According to her account, the aircraft was caught in a severe sandstorm while carrying Yasser Arafat, and there was reportedly not enough fuel for a safe landing.
Gohar said her fiancé took extraordinary steps to protect Arafat during the dangerous situation. She recalled that he placed Arafat inside the aircraft’s bathroom and sealed the door before attempting a highly risky manoeuvre to bring the plane down safely. Sadly, the pilot did not survive the incident. He was reportedly taken toward a hospital but passed away on the way, leaving Gohar facing an unimaginable loss just days before their marriage.

One of the most touching parts of her story involves a locket she had given him. The locket reportedly carried the date of their planned wedding. Before his death, her fiancé gave it to a Pakistani doctor and asked him to make sure it reached Faryal Gohar. Years later, the doctor met her and returned the locket.
For Gohar, that locket became much more than jewellery. It became a lasting reminder of her fiancé, their love, and the future they had planned together. Her emotional revelation has once again brought attention to a painful chapter of her life and shows how some memories can remain deeply meaningful even after many years.
