The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Corporate Crime Circle has arrested Atif Ahmed Khan, husband of renowned actress, model, and entrepreneur Nadia Hussain, in connection with a Rs539 million financial fraud case.

According to FIA officials, Atif Ahmed Khan was apprehended during a raid at his residence in Karachi following a complaint lodged by the board of directors of a private bank. The investigation alleges that Khan, who previously served as the bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), misused company funds for personal financial trading and engaged in fraudulent financial transactions.

Authorities claim that he illegally acquired Rs654 million through a third party, redirecting Rs80 million for private trading, and attempted to cover up the fraud using falsified documents. The FIA further alleges that he paid himself with high markups from company funds, violating banking laws and regulations.

Following his arrest, Atif Ahmed Khan was presented before a customs court, which has granted a four-day physical remand to allow for further investigation. The FIA is now examining additional financial records to determine the full extent of the fraud and identify any accomplices.
