Rajpal Yadav’s Wife Expresses Gratitude to Bollywood Amid Actor’s Jail Term

Indian actor and comedian Rajpal Yadav’s wife, Radha Yadav, has thanked members of the Bollywood industry for their support during a difficult time for her family. Her statement comes after Rajpal Yadav surrendered before authorities and was sent to Tihar Jail in Delhi in connection with cheque bounce cases.

Speaking to an Indian news agency, Radha Yadav said that many well-known personalities from the film industry have stepped forward to support her husband. “Everyone has stood by him. The industry has fully supported us. We are thankful to all those who came forward to help,” she said.

Rajpal Yadav is currently facing serious financial difficulties. He was sent to jail after the Delhi High Court rejected his plea seeking more time to repay outstanding dues. According to court orders, the actor is required to pay approximately 9 crore Indian rupees.

Case Details

The legal matter dates back to 2010, when Rajpal Yadav borrowed 5 crore rupees from Murli Projects Private Limited to produce his first film, Ata Pata Lapata. Unfortunately, the film did not perform well at the box office, leading to financial losses.

The Delhi High Court stated that Yadav must pay 1.35 crore rupees in each of seven separate cases. The court also ordered that the amount deposited with the Registrar General be transferred to the complainant. After his request for additional time to clear the dues was rejected, he surrendered and was taken into custody.

Reports suggest that several major Bollywood stars have offered financial assistance to Rajpal Yadav. Among those mentioned are Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Varun Dhawan, and filmmaker David Dhawan. Yadav’s manager, Goldie Jain, shared that many actors, directors, and producers have assured their full support during this challenging period.

Actor Sonu Sood was reportedly one of the first from the industry to step forward. He announced that he would cast Rajpal Yadav in his upcoming film and provide him with an advance signing amount to help ease his financial burden.
