Sanam Jung Says She Received Six E-Challans Within a Month of Returning to Pakistan

Pakistani actress and television host Sanam Jung has revealed that she received six e-challans within just one month of returning to Pakistan, raising concerns about the accuracy of the electronic traffic enforcement system.

In a video shared on Instagram, Sanam spoke about her experience with Karachi’s e-challan system, saying that the repeated traffic fines have become a source of frustration. She joked that her father is particularly upset after seeing so many fines issued in such a short period.

The actress admitted that the first challan was justified because she was using her mobile phone while driving. She accepted responsibility for the violation and acknowledged that the fine was deserved.

However, Sanam claimed that several of the remaining challans were issued for offenses she did not commit. One of the fines accused her of driving without wearing a seatbelt, a claim she strongly denied. She explained that after living abroad for many years, wearing a seatbelt has become a permanent habit, and she never starts driving without fastening it.

Sanam questioned why she was being fined for violations she insists never occurred. She added that the situation has left her confused and has even resulted in her being scolded at home over the repeated penalties.
