Saba Hameed Reveals Why She Slapped Hiba Bukhari During Drama Shooting

Senior Pakistani actress Saba Hameed recently opened up about a scene in which she slapped fellow actress Hiba Bukhari during the shooting of the drama serial Fitoor. Speaking on a television program, she clarified that the incident was part of the filming process and not a personal conflict between the two actresses.

Saba Hameed explained that in most television dramas, slap scenes are usually filmed using camera angles and acting techniques so that the slap appears real without actually hitting the co-actor. However, in this particular scene, the director wanted the moment to look as realistic as possible. Because of this, the director asked for an actual slap to be delivered during the take.

According to Saba Hameed, she initially felt uncomfortable with the idea because actors generally try to avoid physically hurting their colleagues on set. Despite her hesitation, she followed the director’s instructions in order to make the scene appear convincing for viewers.

She revealed that the slap ended up being quite strong. Immediately after the scene was completed, Saba Hameed said she apologized to Hiba Bukhari for what had happened. She emphasized that such moments are never pleasant for actors but sometimes become necessary to achieve the realism required for a particular scene.

The veteran actress shared this story while appearing on the popular show Hansna Mana Hai. She also made it clear that the incident was purely professional and performed only for the sake of the storyline and the characters in the drama.
