Rajpal Yadav Chooses Legal Battle Over Settlement in ₹9 Crore Loan Case
Indian actor Rajpal Yadav has decided to fight his long-running ₹9 crore loan and cheque bounce case in court
Indian actor Rajpal Yadav has decided to fight his long-running ₹9 crore loan and cheque bounce case in court instead of reaching a settlement. The Delhi High Court has extended his interim bail until April 1, allowing him temporary relief from arrest.
The court noted that Yadav has already made significant payments to the complainant, which played a role in granting him protection for now. His lawyer confirmed that the actor is not interested in settling the matter and prefers to continue the legal battle.

The case dates back to 2010, when Yadav borrowed ₹5 crore for his film project. After the film failed, the financial dispute escalated, leading to legal action. In 2018, he was sentenced to six months in jail under cheque dishonour charges, a decision later upheld by a sessions court.
With the outstanding amount rising to nearly ₹9 crore, the case remains unresolved. The next hearing is scheduled for April 1, where further proceedings will take place.
