Meesha Shafi Challenges Court Decision in Ali Zafar Defamation Case

Pakistani singer Meesha Shafi has officially challenged the decision of a lower court in the defamation case filed by fellow artist Ali Zafar. She has submitted an appeal in the Lahore High Court, requesting that the previous judgment be declared invalid.

According to the appeal, Meesha Shafi argues that the trial court did not properly examine the facts and legal aspects of the case. She maintains that the decision was not based on a complete understanding of the evidence presented during the hearings.

The earlier verdict by the session court had ruled in favor of Ali Zafar in the defamation case and ordered Meesha Shafi to pay significant damages. Following this decision, she has now moved to a higher court to challenge the ruling.
