Earlier this year, Tesla founder Elon Musk, 52, discreetly welcomed a new addition to his family with Shivon Zilis, Neuralink Corp.’s director of special projects.
Musk confirmed the news to Page Six, dismissing the idea that the child was secretly fathered. “All our friends and family know,” he stated.
Musk and his partners strive to maintain their children’s privacy.
In September 2023, Grimes, mother to three of Musk’s children, requested privacy for their family in a detailed post on X (formerly Twitter). She addressed the recent headlines about her co-parenting with Musk and the quiet arrival of their third child, Techno, around the same time Musk welcomed children with Zilis.
“I would prefer not to fuel this press cycle further, but I want to de-escalate the narrative at the moment,” Grimes wrote.
She mentioned her conversation with Zilis, which she acknowledged was overdue. Emphasizing that the situation was not Zilis’ fault, Grimes asked fans not to be angry with her. “We respect each other a lot and are excited to become friends and have the kids grow up together,” she added.
