Adiala Jail Releases List of Visitors Allowed to Meet Imran Khan

The Adiala Jail administration has officially released the names of individuals permitted to meet Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The list includes senior party leaders, family members, and close associates, sparking discussions about the conditions of Khan’s imprisonment.

PTI Secretary-General Salman Akram Raja has submitted the approved visitor list to the jail authorities. Among those allowed to meet Khan are opposition leader Omar Ayub, senior PTI leader Shibli Faraz, and Sahibzada Hamid Raza. Additionally,Imran Khan’s sisters have also been allowed to visit him.

Other prominent names on the list include Raja Nasir Abbas, Ahmed Khan Bacher, and former minister Zartaj Gul. The meetings are expected to focus on legal consultations and political strategy discussions, as Khan remains a key figure in PTI’s ongoing movement.

Since his imprisonment, access to Imran Khan has been heavily restricted, with authorities citing security concerns. PTI has repeatedly criticized these limitations, alleging that the government is deliberately isolating their leader to weaken the party’s momentum. Supporters claim that Khan’s legal and constitutional rights are being violated by controlling his interactions.

Jail officials have enforced strict protocols for these meetings, including time limits and monitoring. Only pre-approved visitors are allowed, and any deviation from the list is reportedly not permitted. The PTI has raised objections, calling the restrictions politically motivated and demanding transparency in the visitation process.

Meanwhile, PTI workers and supporters continue to hold protests across the country, demanding Khan’s immediate release. The party insists that the cases against him are baseless and part of a larger effort to sideline him from politics.

The government, however, maintains that all procedures are being followed as per the law, denying any political interference. Officials state that security measures are standard for high-profile detainees and are not unique to Khan’s case.

As legal battles and political tensions persist, the approval of these visits provides a temporary channel for PTI leadership to coordinate with Khan. The party has vowed to challenge any unfair restrictions legally while mobilizing public support for his release.

The release of the visitor list has drawn mixed reactions, with some viewing it as a minor concession and others seeing it as continued control over Khan’s imprisonment. The situation remains fluid, with further developments expected as legal proceedings advance.
