Veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah has come out in strong support of Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh, who is facing backlash from right-wing groups in India over his upcoming film Sardaarji 3, co-starring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir.

In a scathing statement shared on social media, Naseeruddin Shahh didn’t mince words, saying: “I stand with Diljit. The BJP has been waiting for an opportunity to attack him, and it seems they’ve finally found one. Diljit supported the film’s cast because his mind isn’t poisoned with hatred.”

Taking a dig at extremist factions, Naseeruddin Shah added sarcastically: “These goons just want to cut off all personal connections between Indians and Pakistanis. But no one can stop me from expressing love for my relatives and friends in Pakistan or meeting them.”
