Pakistani actress Naeema Butt has publicly responded to filmmaker and veteran actress Sangeeta’s recent claims regarding her departure from the upcoming film Makho, firmly rejecting the allegations made against her.

Sangeeta had previously stated that Naeema was removed from the project because of her attitude and what she described as a series of demands during the film’s pre-production. However, Naeema has now shared her side of the story, saying that she was unable to join the project due to her already packed professional schedule—not because of any disagreements.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Naeema clarified that the points described as “demands” were actually creative suggestions, which Sangeeta herself had requested to help improve the film and its overall quality. She emphasized that her feedback was offered in good faith and with the intention of supporting the project.

The actress also addressed the controversy surrounding the advance payment. According to Naeema, she had informed the production team from the beginning that her dates were unavailable and voluntarily returned the token amount she had received during their first meeting. She added that she was uncertain about joining the film at the time and chose to return the payment out of professionalism.

Despite the public disagreement, Naeema maintained a respectful tone toward the veteran filmmaker. She expressed her continued admiration for Sangeeta, acknowledging her seniority and contribution to Pakistan’s film industry. Concluding her statement, Naeema wished Sangeeta and the entire Makho team success, saying that while their working styles may differ, she still holds great respect for her and hopes the film achieves its goals.
