Heavy rainfall in Lahore led to severe waterlogging in several parts of the city, including DHA Phase 1, prompting singer and former actress Rabi Pirzada to publicly raise concerns over the situation.

In a video shared on her Facebook page, Rabi Pirzada showed flooded streets near her home, office, and school, claiming that the standing water had caused significant damage. Addressing Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, she questioned the effectiveness of the government’s drainage measures and asked where the reported 960 drainage vehicles were operating, saying the conditions in DHA remained poor despite official claims.

The video quickly went viral on social media, sparking mixed reactions. While many users supported her concerns and called for better urban drainage and flood management, others argued that temporary water accumulation is common after exceptionally heavy rainfall and cannot always be cleared immediately.

Later, Rabi clarified in the comments that her intention was not to criticize any specific area or institution, but to highlight the difficulties faced by citizens across Lahore after the rains. She emphasized that similar conditions were reported in many parts of the city and urged the authorities to take timely and effective action to improve the drainage system and prevent future disruptions.
