Nimra Shahid Questions Falak Shabir’s Call for a Public Dress Code

Pakistani actress Nimra Shahid has shared her views on singer Falak Shabir’s recent appeal for restrictions on revealing clothing in public places, sparking further discussion on the issue.

Speaking during a YouTube interview, Nimra questioned the reasoning behind the request, noting that Falak Shabir and his wife Sarah Khan spend a significant amount of time abroad, where wearing short or modern clothing is widely accepted.

She argued that children are influenced primarily by the environment in which they grow up and suggested that upbringing and family values play a much greater role than public dress codes. According to Nimra, even if society changes, parents ultimately remain responsible for guiding their children and teaching them the values they want them to follow.

Hina Parvez Butt Responds to Falak Shabir’s Public Dress Code Statement

While she acknowledged that Falak may have concerns as a father, Nimra said she disagreed with the way the issue was presented. She added that the type of clothing being discussed is not commonly seen in Pakistan to the extent suggested in the debate.

The actress also praised Sarah Khan, describing her as someone who dresses modestly despite being part of the entertainment industry. Nimra remarked that because of the values demonstrated within their own family, Falak should feel confident about his daughters’ upbringing.

The discussion comes after Falak Shabir requested Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to consider regulations regarding public dress codes, a statement that triggered mixed reactions from celebrities, politicians, and social media users.

As the debate continues, opinions remain divided between those who support stricter cultural standards and those who believe personal clothing choices should remain an individual freedom.
