The actor, who is also known for being the brother-in-law of superstar Salman Khan, revealed emotional details from his journey during a recent interview.
Aayush Sharma explained that when he first moved to Mumbai, he told his family it was for education, but his real intention was to pursue acting. As his college attendance dropped, his father called him back and expressed deep disappointment over his choices. According to Aayush, this moment marked the beginning of a difficult phase in his life.
He shared that when he finally revealed his ambition to become an actor, his father did not support him. Instead, he questioned his talent and even stopped financial assistance. Aayush recalled that his father harshly criticized his appearance and personality, saying he did not have what it takes to become a film hero. In a striking remark, he even told him, “I won’t even give you 50 rupees to watch you on screen.”

The actor said that this rejection left him emotionally shaken, especially during a time when he was already struggling financially. He revealed that there was a period when he was left with only 20 rupees, making survival in Mumbai extremely difficult while chasing his dreams.
Aayush also mentioned that he once asked for a large budget to launch his film career, but even that request was dismissed at home. His mother reacted strongly and discouraged his ambitions, adding to his emotional pressure during that phase.
Despite all the challenges, Aayush credited his grandfather for eventually stepping in and supporting him. It was his intervention that helped convince the family, allowing Aayush to finally get a chance in the film industry.
