Popular TikToker Sehar Hayat has opened up about the reasons behind her divorce (khula) from fellow influencer Sami Rasheed, making serious allegations that have sparked widespread discussion on social media. The couple, once considered an ideal pair, had a grand wedding that went viral online. However, their relationship reportedly faced problems soon after, and they separated shortly after the birth of their daughter.
Sehar Hayat claimed that her former husband frequently threatened her with divorce and that she faced verbal abuse and physical mistreatment, even in front of family members. She also alleged that Sami used inappropriate language towards her and that he physically harmed her during her pregnancy, which shocked many of her followers.

She further revealed issues related to dowry (haq mehr), stating that Sami had promised Rs. 2 crore at the time of marriage but later only documented Rs. 5 lakh in the official nikah papers, while publicly announcing a higher amount. According to Sehar, she accepted the marriage in hopes of building a strong relationship, but it eventually became toxic for her.
On the other hand, Sami Rasheed has denied these claims and shared his own version of events. He stated that their separation happened due to a minor argument during their daughter’s birthday event, where a disagreement over family involvement escalated into a serious conflict. According to him, this led Sehar to file for khula.
The situation has drawn mixed reactions from social media users. Some people have criticized both individuals, suggesting they should move on peacefully, while others believe the issue could have been resolved through understanding and communication. The case highlights how personal matters of public figures quickly become topics of public debate in the digital age.
