Emerging Pakistani actress Amara Chaudhry has spoken out about the double standards of married men in society. During a recent appearance on Bol TV’s talk show, where actresses Areej Chaudhry and Rehma Zaman also joined her, Amara shared her views on how men admire other women while neglecting their own wives.
She highlighted that many married men go out and admire other women’s clothes, shoes, hairstyles, and beauty, but they do not spend money to help their wives achieve the same. According to Amara, if men were to invest in their wives’ personal grooming and lifestyle, it would not only boost their confidence but also reduce unnecessary arguments at home.
The show’s host, Amna Malik, agreed with Amara and added that men often praise other women’s makeup and appearance, yet when their own wives visit a salon, they become upset. She stressed that husbands should end this hypocrisy, give their wives financial independence, and share household responsibilities to build a healthier family life.
Actress Areej Chaudhry also commented that not all men are the same, and some are genuinely supportive partners. She shared the example of her brother, who, despite being a busy businessman, happily helps with household chores while his wife rests. This, she said, proves that good husbands do exist.
Meanwhile, actress Rehma Zaman noted that housewives are often treated like personal assistants, expected to do everyone’s tasks without appreciation. She argued that if families allowed women more freedom and shared responsibilities fairly, life at home would be much easier and happier.
Amara’s statement has sparked discussion, encouraging men to respect their wives, invest in their personal growth, and provide them with the same care they admire in others.
