“Squid Game” wins two significant honors at the 2022 Hollywood Critics Association Awards.

At the 2022 Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) TV Honors, held in California, the Netflix series Squid Game and its lead actor Lee Jung Jae won two prestigious awards.

This Netflix Series won prizes in two of the seven categories for which it was nominated at the 2022 HCA TV Awards and premiered on August 13.

The South Korean series with the most viewers received the prize for Best International Series, beating off Lupin, Money Heist, Mexico Pachinko, and Acapulc.

The lead actor of the series, Lee Jung Jae, also won the award for “Best Actor in a Streaming Drama Series.”

 “This Drama Series brought me so much luck’’, the actor said in a winning speech, sending shockwaves across the fandom when he confessed, I profoundly appreciate the global audience for loving, supporting, and appreciating the program. Moreover, he informed the audience that “Squid Game will return for a second season.”

For those unaware, Netflix’s Squid Game is a record-breaking series, having surpassed one billion views in less than a month since its September premiere.
