Nadia Khan Supports “Lazawal Ishq” Streaming on YouTube

Actress, TV host, and commentator Nadia Khan has said that it is better for the reality show “Lazawal Ishq”, hosted by Ayesha Omar, to be streamed on YouTube instead of airing on a TV channel.

The show Lazawal Ishq is scheduled to launch on September 29 on YouTube. After its teasers and trailers were released, many social media users criticized the program and even demanded a ban, claiming it was a dating show.

However, Ayesha Omar clarified that the concept is not based on dating. Instead, the show is about the search for true love. According to the format, four men and four women will live together for several weeks inside a lavish mansion, sharing their experiences and interactions.

Despite the controversy, Nadia Khan, along with senior actresses Atiqa Odho and Marina Khan, praised the show during the program “Kya Drama Hai.” Their positive comments sparked more debate online, as many viewers expressed disappointment.

Marina Khan explained that similar shows have already been produced in Arabic, Turkish, and other languages, and now it is being presented in Urdu for the first time. However, she also noted it is unclear whether Lazawal Ishq is fully a Turkish production or a joint collaboration between Pakistan and Turkey.

Atiqa Odho added that banning such a show made no sense since several Pakistani web series and dramas on YouTube are far bolder in content. Marina Khan also pointed out that Pakistan previously blocked the channel of the web series “Barzakh” on YouTube, suggesting Lazawal Ishq might face the same fate.

In response, Nadia Khan said she sees no issue with the show being available on YouTube. “It’s good that it’s not on a TV channel. Whoever wants to watch it will, and whoever doesn’t, won’t,” she stated.

Jokingly, she added, “Let’s just hope that if a boy and girl enter the mansion together, three don’t come out later.”
