Liam Dawson, an all-rounder for the Lahore Qalandars, sustained an ankle injury during Sunday’s match against the Karachi Kings at the National Bank Cricket Arena.
As confirmed by his team, Dawson has been ruled out of the remainder of the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). As a result of the setback, the Qalandars will seek to acquire a replacement player.
While playing for Qalandars against Kings, Dawson took a wicket and scored only one run as 67 runs defeated Qalandars.
However, the English cricketer enjoyed playing in front of the ecstatic crowd in Karachi.
Dawson, of the Qalandars, told the media after the match that it was an exciting contest overall.
“It felt incredible to compete in front of such an electric crowd. I am also looking forward to similar crowds at future matches, “he said.
While discussing the performance of the Qalandars, Dawson stated that their batting fell short of expectations.
“We performed poorly in batting. Karachi was superior with the bat, and they amassed a respectable score “He emphasized.
In addition, Dawson praised his captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and teammate Haris Rauf.
“Our bowlers gave the match their absolute best effort. In particular, Shaheen and Haris. They both bowled from the front position “He concluded.
