Farah Hussain Says She Quit Acting for a Better Married Life and Children

Actress and TV host Farah Hussain has revealed that she left acting in order to focus on her marriage and raising her children.

Farah made the remarks during her recent appearance on the comedy program Mazaq Raat, where she spoke openly on various topics.

Early Career

Farah said she began her career as an actress but soon transitioned into hosting shows on Pakistan Television (PTV). At the time she started hosting morning shows, private TV channels had not yet developed a trend for such programs.

She recalled that in the early days, her young age was a reason she was repeatedly rejected as a morning show host. However, when she finally got the chance, her show quickly became popular.

Life Philosophy

Farah shared her outlook on life, saying:
“Life is the most beautiful gift given by God. Every moment, every breath, and every day should be treated as a blessing.”

Describing herself as a serious-natured person, she said this quality made her feel fortunate. “Being serious means you can feel the pain of others. The day a person stops feeling others’ pain, they become useless,” she explained.

Views on Love and Marriage

When asked about one-sided love, Farah said she had never experienced it, and in her view, such love is “foolish.” She added that a person can fall in love more than once, but only with one person at a time.

She gave special advice to young women, urging them not to marry without their parents’ consent, nor to impose their will on them. She stressed that men, too, should marry with parental approval—even in cases of love marriages.

“Parents are God’s presence in one’s life,” she said, calling them a great blessing.

Leaving Acting for Family

When asked why she didn’t pursue acting alongside TV hosting, Farah explained that acting required long hours on set, sometimes spending the whole day shooting. After marriage, she decided to quit acting so she could give time to her married life and children’s upbringing.

She said it was a conscious choice to prioritize her family over acting, even though she continued her work as a TV host.
