Ali Amin Gandapur Clarifies Statement About Sanam Javed

Former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has issued a clarification regarding his recent statement about Sanam Javed. He said that his words are being twisted and given the wrong meaning by people.

Gandapur stated that Sanam Javed is like a sister to him. He expressed regret that his statement from the previous day was being misinterpreted. The politician made it clear that he holds no inappropriate feelings or intentions toward her.

According to Gandapur, Sanam Javed stayed at the Chief Minister House for two months. He explained that during that time, she left the premises without informing him. This decision later led to misunderstandings and unwanted situations.

He said, “Our mothers and sisters also go out. Given the circumstances in which Sanam Javed was living at the Chief Minister House, she should have told me before going out because as Chief Minister, it was my responsibility to ensure her safety.”

Gandapur also criticized the public for jumping to conclusions without knowing the full facts. He remarked, “Morality has died among people. One should not form an opinion about anyone without proper investigation.”

It may be recalled that a case regarding Sanam Javed’s alleged abduction was registered in October 2025 at the Sharqi police station in Peshawar. At that time, Gandapur took notice of the incident and ordered a transparent investigation.

According to PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram, Sanam Javed was forcibly picked up from a busy road in Peshawar. Two vehicles stopped her car and abducted her in front of her friends.
