Abdullah Ejaz Reveals Why Severe Back Pain Forced Him to Leave Modeling

Former Pakistani model and actor Abdullah Ejaz has opened up about the painful health struggle that forced him to step away from modeling.

In a recent television appearance, Abdullah revealed that he developed sciatica, a condition that caused severe back pain and significantly affected his daily life. He said the pain became so intense that he could not sit properly and sometimes had to eat while lying down.

According to Abdullah, the problem began around a year and a half ago and continued for a long period. He admitted that he still does not know exactly what caused the condition, although he believes excessive exercise or intense training may have contributed to it.

The former model described the period as extremely difficult for both himself and his family. He especially praised his wife, Rabia, for standing by him throughout the challenging time and taking care of him.

Abdullah said his wife showed remarkable strength during his recovery, describing her as an “iron lady” who provided him with constant support.

Despite achieving considerable success in modeling, Abdullah explained that health problems can sometimes change the direction of a person’s life. His experience reminded him that success means little when physical health is severely affected and that family support becomes especially important during difficult times.

Abdullah was once regarded as one of Pakistan’s prominent models and won a Lux Style Award in 2026. He later expanded his career into acting, appearing in projects including Piya Mann Bhaye, Nail Polish, Tera Mera Rishta, Silsilay and Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain. He also appeared in Tamasha Season 3.

Today, Abdullah has moved into commercial direction, working behind the camera rather than continuing his modeling career.
