According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sanctioned a five-day Eidul Azha holiday on Sunday.
The prime minister has reviewed and approved the Eid-ul-Azha vacations from Friday, July 8, to Tuesday, July 12, according to the announcement. After the PM’s approval, the Cabinet Division will issue a second notification regarding the holidays.
No sighting of the Zil Hajj moon; Eidul Azha on July 10
Earlier, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, chairman of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, announced that Eidul Azha would be observed on July 10. (Sunday).
The decision was revealed following a committee meeting held last week in Karachi.
The zonal committees also convened their meetings at their headquarters in Islamabad, Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar.
