Pakistani actress Madiha Imam shared a funny yet shocking story from her past when she mistakenly ended up in trouble with the police in Turkey.
Speaking on a private TV comedy show, Madiha revealed that during her first-ever trip abroad for a shoot in Turkey, she unknowingly handed over fake currency to a fruit seller.
The actress said she was new to international travel and was hesitant to go out, thinking she might not find halal food easily. But on the last day of her shoot, she decided to explore a little and bought a fruit plate.
“When I paid, the vendor gave me a strange look. I thought maybe I gave him extra money. But soon after, he called the police because the note I gave him was fake,” Madiha recalled.
She explained that the currency note had actually come from Pakistan, and she had no idea it was counterfeit. Luckily, some Turkish drivers nearby noticed the situation and helped pay the vendor.
Madiha also shared another funny incident from abroad. She said while visiting a shopping mall, a woman mistook her for fellow actress Yumna Zaidi and even asked for her autograph, naming Yumna’s dramas one by one. Despite her husband’s attempt to explain she was Madiha Imam, the woman ended up arguing with him instead.
